BIGS paired with Kappa Alpha Theta for a week long event: Rock the CASA.
This November Butler BIGS paired with Butler University's Kappa Alpha Theta for a joint week long philanthropy event. The whole week was dedicated to helping CASA: Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every child who has experienced abuse or neglect can be safe, have a permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive.
The Week
Every day of the week featured a different event with a new opportunity to support the cause. These included givebacks at local restaurants in the surrounding community, a cornhole tournament, and lip sync competitions. Each one of these events allowed the students of Butler's campus to help raise money for an important cause while having fun. At the end of the week BIGS and Theta combined raised $7,400.
